The incidence of cardiac arrhythmias in the population of children and adolescents has increased significantly in recent years, which is observed both in primary care practice and in specialized offices. The diagnostic process based on a resting ECG or 24-hour Holter test, due to the irregular and often sporadic nature of the disorders and non-specific symptoms, is very difficult. The solution is to use event monitoring based on the EHO-MINI Event Holter device.
The EHO-MINI device is dedicated to the diagnosis of cardiac abnormalities, allowing medical personnel to adjust the parameters of operation and configuration of the leads to the individual needs of the patient – even during ongoing telemonitoring.
Application advantages:
- Simple operation and clear indication of the status of the device, with which a child or teenager can easily cope.
- High precision and accuracy of measurement, completely digital processing of ECG signals (test recording and data transmission), fully synchronous digital ECG recording from all leads
- The ability to remotely change the parameters of the device also during the monitoring, after knowing the current results of the patient.
Our technology used in the project “Tele-friends from the heart Diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias in children and adolescents with the use of telemedical devices and remote cardio monitoring” allowed to win the first place in the national competition ”Telemedicine in Children’s Hospitals of the Future”.
